SocialWhirl.com is honored to sponsor the 23rd Annual Bobby Norris Roundup for Autism “Diamonds In The Rough” - Dallas Party Pics

Ongoing until December 31, 2011: Fund-A-Cause

The Bobby Norris Roundup for Autism, a three day event spanning the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, was held September 8th, 9th, and 10th, 2011, chaired by Heather Russell and Gina Marx.

The Roundup for Autism, founded in 1988, is solely designed to raise funds for the Autism Treatment Centers of Texas (ATC) and has raised over $3 million dollars, making it one of the largest autism-related fundraising events in the State of Texas.

The theme of the 23rd Annual event, ”Diamonds in the Rough,” is indicative of the principle that each individual with autism is uniquely spectacular and extraordinary.

"Diamonds in the Rough" was the theme of the black-tie gala co-chaired by Dee Carter and Sharon Folsom.

Saturday, September 10th was the final day for the weekend Roundup for Autism events.  The Pegasus Ball, a black-tie formal event, was held in the Regency Ballroom of the Fairmont Dallas hotel with Dee Carter and Sharon Folsom as Chairs and Congressman Pete Sessions as Honorary Chair.

Master of Ceremonies Charlie Throckmorton announced Celebrity Host Barry Corbin (who was out of town on location) and featured presentation of the Roundup Spirit Award to Brooke and Matt Hayes.

The gala was brought alive when Dallas Coleman took the stage. This 21-year-old country western artist has entertained crowds across the country. He has perfect pitch, plays multiple instruments and his music is full of raw emotion, most of it about his autism. Diagnosed at an early age, Dallas has learned to use his many gifts to inspire others.
