Recognized as the premier party hosted in honor of the Kentucky Derby, the Barnstable-Brown Gala has been named by People magazine as one of the top 10 parties in the country and by Gold Magazine as one of the top parties internationally. The party is hosted annually by the famous "Doublemint Twins" Patricia Barnstable and Priscilla Barnstable Brown.

"Kenny Troutt, who co-owns WinStar Farm with friend and business partner Bill Casner, admitted that he's been “super nervous” before previous Kentucky Derbys.
And Saturday, the farm sent two horses out on a sloppy Churchill Downs track — WinStar's seventh and eighth entries in the race since 2006."

Barnstable Brown gala invites are in the mail
The theme for the 2010 Barnstable Brown Party has been revealed, and invitations are in the mail. “The Experience” is the official theme of the legendary pre-Kentucky Derby gala taking place at 8 p.m. April 30 at 1700 Spring Drive. Those interested in purchasing the $1,000-per-person tickets should call Willie Barnstable at (502) 491-6778.
Proceeds from the party benefit the new Barnstable Brown Diabetes and Obesity Center at the University of Kentucky.

The Barnstable Brown Party is the place to be the night before the Derby. It’s a black-tie affair, so be sure to dress appropriately. If there’s a celebrity attending the race, you’re bound to find them at this party. It’s hosted annually by Patricia Barnstable Brown at the Barnstable Brown mansion on Spring Drive in downtown Louisville, KY.
The party includes access to a full bar and a gourmet buffet dinner. Proceeds benefit diabetes research. It’s the biggest party of the year in Louisville and the largest Derby-eve gathering of celebrities in town. Complete with paparazzi and a crowd of people trying to catch a glimpse of the stars, the Barnstable Brown Party is Kentucky’s version of the Academy Awards Show and the MTV Video Music Awards all rolled into one.
