History and Mission: The Bridge Breast Network is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to save lives by providing access to diagnostic and treatment services for breast cancer to low income, uninsured and underinsured individuals.  The Bridge serves uninsured and underinsured women and men in 16 counties in the DFW area.

In the past decade, The Bridge has served over 100,000 North Texans and connected more than 10,000 with medical treatment. The Bridge was founded in 1992 to serve as the link between uninsured and underinsured women and men and the life-saving care they so desperately need. Only through the help of volunteers and generous donations from the North Texas community is The Bridge able to carry out this vital mission.Status or circumstance shouldn’t be a factor in the fight against breast cancer. Cancer doesn’t care whether a person is Asian or Caucasian, 16 or 60, insured or not. The care shouldn’t discriminate either.

For every dollar donated, Bridge clients receive nearly 10 times that amount in medical care
.  Hundreds of physicians and medical facilities in the Metroplex have volunteered their professional services or drastically reduced their fees to make a large discount possible.  Your tax-deductible donation goes toward lifesaving evaluations and treatment, such as biopsies, medication, and chemotherapy.
