Curtain Call 2011 chairs Mary and John Gill mixed it up this year, bringing in one of country music’s hottest stars, Blake Shelton, winner of Country Music Association’s 2010 Male vocalist of the Year and Musical Event of the Year awards, as the featured entertainer for a fabulous evening benefiting Dallas Summer Musicals’ education and outreach programs.
Honorary chair Amy Turner joined Michael A. Jenkins, President and Managing Director of DSM; Michael Steindorf, Chairman of the Board; Chuck Gummer of Comerica Bank, DSM presenting sponsor and hundreds of sponsors and supporters for a cocktail reception, live and silent auctions and gourmet seated dinner.

Afterwards, Shelton took the stage and rocked the house for over an hour of hit songs and pure country charm, as fans danced in their seats and the aisles. The dancing continued at the Cabaret late night party, featuring Dallas Unlimited, closing down the evening well after midnight.

Proceeds from Curtain Call support Dallas Summer Musicals' mission to bring the Best of Broadway to Dallas and provide for children's education and outreach programs.
