Welcome to the Dallas Summer Musicals Guild
and Associate Producers Events Pages

Associate Producers - the young professionals group in support of the Dallas Summer Musicals

The Associate Producers is a dynamic group of young professionals interested in learning about musical theatre, networking with peers, and supporting the arts.  The auxiliary seeks to make the Dallas Summer Musicals, presented by Comerica Bank, (DSM) a part of the culture of Dallas for young adults, creating a sustainable audience base by which the future of the DSM may gain support.  In addition, Associate Producers is a platform for grooming members for future leadership roles on DSM’s Board of Directors.

Associate Producers membership currently numbers near 200, and the group is governed by its own board that develops unique events and activities that educate, entertain, and keep the program thriving.  Associate Producers provides a forum for young professionals to expand their business and social networks.  Members enjoy special access, as well as education and social opportunities presented throughout the season.  Five regularly-scheduled annual events provide venues for members to meet each other, as well as key business and community leaders

Annual Membership event is a key for the group to attract new members and create awareness.

Two Pre-Show Events, for members only, are held during the season at The Music Hall at Fair Park preceding the designated DSM Summer Season and/or Broadway Contemporary Series shows.

The Networking Event is a member's-only event, held in conjunction with the DSM Board of Directors and provides Associate Producers with a networking opportunity among themselves and with the Board.

Holiday Party offers the group a fun evening to socialize and celebrate the year’s accomplishments.

Tons of Fun with Dallas Summer Musicals Guild

Being a member of the DSM Guild is always a fun time. After the opening night show in the summer series and some other select shows during the year, the Guild members host the show's cast and company at a welcoming party.

Guild Involvement with DSM:

  • Weekend Company Buffets:
Volunteers from the Guild secure donations from area restaurants and caterers and serve the Company in the Green Room at the Music Hall each weekend.
  • Opening Night Company Parties:
Immediately following the opening night performances of each show, the Company is honored with a party. Hosting assignments are made according to the order of receipt of Producer and Co-Producer contributions and hosting requests. Be sure to sign up early!
  • Dallas Information Packages:
This well-received tradition continues to be one of the unique ways we show our hospitality to visiting  Companies. A selection of tourist brochures, visitor’s magazines and helpful information is packaged and given to each Company member at the Opening Night Company Parties.
  • Volunteer opportunities:
Opportunities to volunteer at The Dallas Summer Musicals School of Musical Theatre, a Guild supported arts educational arm of The Dallas Summer Musicals.
