This award honors the influence and inspiration of art as it relates to fashion and style.
Fashion Design
This category honors a local up-and-coming designer in the area of apparel and fashion accessories.
Fashion Communication
This category honors an organization or individual who has done exemplary work in the field for fashion or lifestyle communication including publications, photography or public relations.
New Community Retailer
This category honors a retail store that is new to Dallas and the metroplex.
Fashion Innovation
The award honors a company or individual who has transcended the ordinary regarding the fashion to fashion-related industry at the local level and has raised the bar for others to reach.
Inspirational
This award is given to a company or individual in the community who has inspired others by their actions and attitude with regard to occupation, philanthropy, and community service.
Career Achievement
This category honors a company or individual who has shown foresight, creativity, and longevity in the area of Fashion or Lifestyle Retail, setting an example for others to follow.
Event Details:
- Purpose: To recognize emerging talent and honor career achievements in the Dallas fashion community
- Selection: The FGI of Dallas Rising Stars are nominated and selected by local FGI members. Rising Star honorees must have a minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 5 years in business. Career Achievement honorees must show leadership and achievement in their industry and in the community.
Master of Ceremonies: Michael Faircloth, Renowned Couture Designer
Tickets: Tables of ten begin at $1,100.
Individual tickets are $125 each.
Table sponsorships are also available.
Open to the public, by reservation only.

The purposes of the Foundation are:

establishment of internship programs; provision of career counseling
services.
Organizational
and sponsorship of seminars and other educational activities on a national
and worldwide basis.
Such
other activities, on a national and worldwide basis, as will promote
and foster the above purposes.
To sponsor
public service activities in which the fashion industry works, to serve
relevant community needs and concerns and to stimulate and encourage
membership and industry participation in such public service activities.
