Girlfriends Getaway to Kiepersol Vineyards and Winery in Tyler, TX
October 10th is grape stomping! |
 |
Ever since my mother-in-law took me to Kiepersol, a wonderful vineyard and winery just outside of Tyler, TX for just a brief visit, I've always wanted to go back for the experience, but never found the time.
After reading about it again in Nancy Nichols' blog, we were determined to go, which we did and had a wonderful time. It is the perfect getaway for a weekend or longer. There is so much to do! |

| Fabulous traveling music came from the movie SIDEWAYS soundtrack. We highly recommend staying at the Bed and Breakfast at Kiepersol to thoroughly enjoy the experience. Have dinner at the restaurant, take a tour of the vineyards. |

"Be
A Tourist In Your Own Town"
Sometimes we can get away for a day, weekend or more. It just
feels better to get out of town with the family, friends or alone,
celebrate our relationships, see new vistas, learn about different
cultures and rejuvenate our soul.
Vacation
in your own back yard
Then again, like someone recently said, due to his wife's
illness, they would not be taking a vacation this summer, so he
decided to bring vacation to his home by redoing the back yard.
He brought in tropical plantings, including a banana tree, bouganvilla,
new chaise lounges, tropical umbrellas and outdoor cocktail tables
for each chair, Jamaican music, reggae, jazz, monogrammed beach
towels, robes, new outdoor tableware and swimming pool floats.
Set it all out by the pool, made some mojitos and they not only
had a mini-vacation at home, but can have one whenver the mood
hits.
This
series celebrates getting out to see our own towns. So many
new venues are opening and new exhibits are everywhere. Then there
are the things we've driven by every day going to work and never
stopped to see. Take the time now. Be a tourist in your own town.
