is especially important with transplantation surgery.
Methodist

- To fund research under the direction of Zhendong Ma, Ph.D.
"Genome-wide combinatoril analysis of HNF-1B target genes
in kidney". Polycistic kidney disease (PKD) is the leading
hereditary renal disease resulting in end-stage renal failure
in the United States. The results of the proposed research will
help to elucidate the mechanism of PKD and identify targets to
development treatment for PKD.
UT
Southwestern Medical Center
- The purchase of one state-of-the-art digital nephroscope, one
digital ureteroscope and a digital controller to allow mapping
and sampling of areas within the kidney collecting system which
are accessible at the time of endoscopic kidney stone removal.
