Starck
was in Dallas to unveil the newly expanded Victory Park Discovery
Center, an immersive environment of exploration unlike any sales
center in the city.
The
Discovery Center has undergone an exciting series of enhancements,
incorporating display areas to showcase the just released interior
finishes and spaces for the House by Starck and YOO that will
be the hallmark of this one-of-a-kind project.

his talk at Design Within Reach, Starck chatted about his design philosophy,
working in bed. No tv. No phone ... Imagine a very heavy French accent:
"I wait for my subconscious to deliver me the dream. It dreams
for me all the time. I'm very frugal. I am not very interesting. I have
a very elegant staff who works for me."
"The
only thing that exists for me is love and passion... life is too short."
He
said he works with the energy of the family when designing the floor
plans and encourages everyone to "... create your own home and
design. If you think you are lost, we can help you find."
