About TACA:
Founded in 1966, TACA’s (The Arts Community Alliance) mission is to provide financial support and services and to increase public awareness and participation in the performing arts of North Texas, which improve the quality of life for citizens of all economic, social and ethnic backgrounds.
Since its inception, TACA has distributed more than $17.3 million to emerging and established performing arts organizations with budgets as small as $18,000 to as large as $28 million.
Funds are raised from the TACA Silver Cup Award Luncheon, which honors one woman and one man each year for outstanding volunteer support of the arts, and the Proscenium: A Weekend with TACA.

Party on the Green: For the most money raised during the silent auction created by the chefs, Chef Eric Brandt received the Golden Skillet Award for his Cocktails and Canapés auction package. The winner will entertain 20 on The Mansion’s breezy, lantern-lit terrace, enjoying champagne, beer, wine, and specialty cocktails paired with a canapé menu.
Local radio personalities Gene and Julie Gates kept the silent auction bidding spirited and interviewed the celebrity chefs on stage, including a demonstration of Chef Martin Yan deboning a whole chicken in 18 seconds.

A culinary tradition at Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek, TACA Lexus Party on the Green showcases the culinary talents of Rosewood chefs and celebrity guest chefs from across the nation.
These chefs dish up their signature cuisine at stations set throughout Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek. A silent auction and wine cork pull take place during the evening surrounded by vibrant musical entertainment.

TACA awards $1 million to area performing arts organizations |

For the second consecutive year, TACA awarded $1 million to area performing arts organizations. The Awards Presentation was held on February 9th at the Dallas Museum of Art's Horchow Auditorium. Straight from Broadway, special guest Kimberly Grigsby was the featured speaker.
To emphasize TACA's mission of striving to enhance artistic excellence Grigsby shared her experiences collaborating with actors, composers and musicians in the pursuit of excellence. A graduate of Southern Methodist University and Manhattan School of Music, Grigsby is a pianist and musical director with music directing/conducting credits on and off Broadway.
Andrew Teller, senior managing director of RBC Wealth Management and sponsor of the TACA Grant Awards Presentation, described what it means to partner with TACA. "Our firm has been supporting TACA for five years now, and in that time the grants distribution have increased 46 percent. We are privileged to be a part of bringing the performing arts to every sector of our community."
