Fly Away with The Bridge - A Night In The Emerald City celebrating The Bridge Breast Network’s 20 years of service in North Texas kicked off at the Marquee Grill & Bar at Highland Park Village with an evening beginning with cocktails and gourmet bites in the patio and bar and ending with guests shopping at Anne Fontaine, Q Custom Clothier and Stella McCartney, all donating a portion of their sales to The Bridge Breast Network.

Featured speaker was 2006 Mrs. Texas, Southlake resident Tracy Elliott. Students from Booker T. Washington performed, and patrons bought an “Angel” to place on the designer-decorated Angel Tree. Each Angel will provide a child with summer camp in 2012, a year of tutoring, or an educational scholarship.

The 28th Annual Luncheon, which will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. at the Hilton Anatole Chantilly Ballroom, draws an audience of 800 to 1200 social and civic leaders from Dallas, Fort Worth, and the entire North Texas region.  This year’s co-chairs are Bunny Cotten, Angela Nash, and Kristina Whitcomb. The theme will be “Heart & Sole” and the featured designer will be Chadwick Bell, who will be in attendance. Jack A. Turpin will be the honorary chair, and the Lynda Adleta Heart of Gold Award will be presented to former Dallas Maverick Ray Johnston, Jr., who has heroically battled and beaten leukemia four times. The Spirit of Tom Landry Character Award honoring a youth who has battled blood cancer or supported the fight against the disease, will be presented by Alicia Landry to two individuals, Kenedy Kundysek and Dalton Douglas.

Luncheon ticket prices begin at $175, and sponsor tables start at $1750.The 2012 Luncheon is expected to raise more than $450,000, adding to nearly $7 million generated over the past two decades.  Funds are raised not only through table and ticket sales but also through a raffle of high-end items retailing anywhere from $500 to $10,000.
