Janelle and Larry Friedman will chair the winter fundraising Hearts and Hands Luncheon at The Ritz Carlton on Friday, December 3rd. Janelle Friedman announced that her speaker for the luncheon will be Leigh Anne Tuohy. Leigh Anne Tuohy was featured in Michael Lewis' 2006 book, The Blind Side: Evolution of a Game later made in a 2009 feature film adaptation The Blind Side. In the film, Tuohy was portrayed by actress Sandra Bullock, who won the Academy Award for Best Actress for the performance.

The Trinity Trust’s River Rats event on April 22nd featured Brandon Bolin, principal of GroundFloor Development. More than 60 members and their guests came to the Belmont Hotel and BarBelmont for “Streetcars: Connecting Downtown to Oak Cliff.” Members and potential members enjoyed appetizers, such as Smoke’s delicious sliders, and cocktails, and listened to an informative presentation.
