Countdown to the fireworks and so much more

This video is a brief overview of some of the happenings from the party. An exciting feature here is listening to Santiago Calatrava, the architect, speak his heartfelt feelings about Dallas, his design and the people involved and it's all topped off by fireworks.

Below is a link to the Trinity Trust video. Dallas had a very proud moment September 2009 and we invite you to join in.

The Trinity Trust’s Bridge Fair Features Bus Ride, Fireworks Over the Trinity River

On September 25 on a clear night in downtown Dallas, more than 600 people packed the Continental Bridge for The Trinity Trust's Bridge Fair, "Bridging the Trinity." After riding a wrapped "Suspense is Building," DART bus, VIPs and special guests got off the bus to people cheering.

Santiago Calatrava, architect of the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, joined Mayor Tom Leppert,
U. S. Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison, and guests to celebrate the arrival of the steel for the 400-foot arch of the bridge. A $10 million anonymous gift, made in honor of Mary McDermott Cook, was announced on September 24.  Once the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge is completed, the gift will be used to turn the Continental Avenue Bridge into a pedestrian-only bridge – a place to stroll, picnic and enjoy street vendors.
